Changing number of records per page
... for a specific query
If you executed a query (e.g. Simple Search, Advanced Search or SQL Search), you will (hopefully ;-) get the list of records, whereby (by default) 10 records per page are presented. You will find a field records per page under Display Options in the header of the search results page (search.php). Enter a new value in this field (e.g. 50) and press Enter
... for all of your queries
The default number of records that will be returned by per page is determined (as all other settings) in initialize/ini.inc.php. Simply change the value of the variable $defaultNumberOfRecords. This change will affect all users of your installation.
Changing the fields that are displayed
If you executed a query (e.g. Simple Search, Advanced Search or SQL Search), the records are displayed with following fields Author, Title, Year, Publication, Volume, Pages and Links. You change the returned fields under Display Options in the header of the search results page search.php. Use the select box and choose the desired field name (e.g. serial for serial number) and hit the Show button to add this field. Or select one of the returned fields (e.g. Volume) and press the Hide button to delete this field from the page
Sorting of records
By default, the returned records are sorted by author (increasing). This is indicated by an upwardly arrow besides the header Author. If you click on this header (Author), the sort direction will change (indicated by a downward pointing arrow). In the same way, sorting can be executed for other fields. E.g. if you click on the header Year, records are sorted by year.
Toogle between web view and print view
If you need to copy the records into your text editor or simply want to print them, you can switch to print view by clicking on the printer symbol above the field captions. In print view you can go back to web view by clicking on the earth symbol.
